What is a DDP master and do I need it?

A DDP master is an image of an audio CD including all PQ subcodes using the Disc Description Protocol. DDPs can be written to CD/DVD-ROM or delivered digitally to most manufacturing facilities. Unlike an audio CD-R that is written in MODE2 and therefor highly error prone, DDPs are completely error free. I strongly recommend this option if and only if you are going to have your CD replicated at a pressing plant. If you plan to replicate your CD either at home or using a service that burns CD-Rs, there is no need to order this delivery option.
